The bullfighter switchblade is quickly becoming a sought after collectors item. It is a knife that was made in Japan and sold in Mexico from the 60s through the 80s. These were smuggled back into the US in the shoes and boots of American tourists coming back from touring Mexico.
There is quite a variety of colors, lengths and blade styles, making the work of collectors cut out for them. There were 4 different overall lengths, three blade styles and at least 5 different colors. The blue color, dagger blade, black color and shorter lengths are the rarest.
All were lever locks and these are very snappy knives! While not of a construction like the high end Italian autos, these are stylish and nostalgic knives that are greatly enjoyable.
